Aaaannnd, we have a tractor! Engine has been rebuilt it runs perfect on first start. It's a baby tractor, but it's exactly what we need. For now. And all these other things came with it. Mower not pictured.

WooHOO cool beans! You gonna put in a garden?

As for being small, I've had a compact tractor and it's surprising just how much you really can get done with one. I had a tiller a bush hog and s box blade and did everything I wanted to do with it

I have an OMG to share, Robo remember the bird I was telling you about the rooster that attacked me a couple of times I was asking if he could be broken, well we have had this bird for 2 weeks now and in his own house and pen well I let him out today and he is totally a different bird, I actually picked him up a couple of times and nothing no fight what so ever and no fighting with the other birds and I have a vacancy every single bird except the baby, babies are in one pen the house is not big enough for everyone so they are roosting on the roosts out side the house in the pen. All snuggled up together, see I let my birds free range and then they would go to their own homes at night well tonight they all decided on one house the bigger of the 3 is that not crazy, so I have juvenile birds with grown birds and both roos and hens. I was not home my DH locked them in and he said you have to come and see this. WOW Now I have room for my turkeys

. We dont have a garden, yet. But now that we have this with the tiller and about 7 other attachments, we'll be able to get a lot of stuff done. IDK if 14hp is a lot but that's whit it is. There are so many attachments that I don't even know what they're for. Right now, we need the mower and the thing that we can re do the gravel on our driveway with.

It took forever for them to load everything up because he just kept bringing out all these different things that go on it. He sold the trailer to us too. It's only a year old. We scored a really good all inclusive deal, I think.

sure sounds like it! kind of like when I bought mine, I was just looking for a tractor, a bush hog and a disk to use at our hunting club. This was a widow woman selling out after her husband died, she said $3 K for all of it. I told her I only wanted the tractor, the bush hog and a disk, she said 'It's $3 K, take what you want, but that pays for everything to do with the tractor, tools and all" .......... So I called my son in law to borrow a trailer and come up and help, LOL I got the tractor, a bush hog, a 5' finish mower, a 6' finish mower (almost new) a boom pole, a scrape blade, a box blade, a sickle mower a 55 gallon tank sprayer, a cone fertilzer spreader, a two bottom plow, a rake and a cultivator.......but there was no disk.............LOL

so I wound up selling the nearly new 6' finish mower for $1200, the scrape blade for $375. I traded the sickle mower, the cone spreader and the cultivator for another tractor with a blown engine. I traded that tractor for a set of torches, tanks included, a big kerosene shop heater AND $1000. Then I bought a disk on craigslist for $375.....So I basically had $800 invested in it before I started doing the work on it. I've spent almost $400 in paint, and repairs, and I just bought a 5' PTO tiller for $675. I'm still under $2k on it, and I am getting ready to clean up and paint the plow and the disk and sell them, LOL

so yeah, sounds like y'all made out like bandits too!

as for the 14 hp, well see it's all in the gearing and the PTO. even a small tractor will do a lot more than people think!

Really awesome buys! I have no need for a tractor here but I'm sure if a good deal came along dh would go for it. I start talking gardens and he says I'll have to get you a tiller. I say no tilling! Raised beds and/or just built up soil beds. It has worked really well so far. Got more to do though. I'll bet there are a lot of improvements and projects about to be happening!

Thinking about getting a new bator. One corner of my 3 year old circulated air Styrofoam bator is cooler than the rest so I leave it empty, hand turn now cuz the auto turner motor went out after reviving it with oil several times this past year. Don't want to buy replacement parts if it costs the same as getting a new one altogether.
