YO GEORGIANS! :)

Oh wow! Did not know that. Great info thanks!

I was equally bummed and grateful to hear the info too. I was glad I asked. I almost didn't, but my gut was telling me I'd better speak up.

Don't use pressure treated lumber either. Depending on what you want to plant, I kept the tires off my F350 when I got new ones. GAM planted stuff in those.

Hello there! I am in north metro Atlanta area, and excited about starting my chicken experience. I have spent months researching, building, and preparing. When I first started I ordered four chicks from an online hatchery. They are due to be born in two weeks and I should receive them two days later.

I have spent the last 6 weeks building my upcycled coop and spacious run. So many questions that I had were answered on this forum, so I decided to join.

Knowing a little more now than I did when I ordered my chicks, I would have probably doubled my order just in case I lost a few. I can make a change to my order if I pay a fee, but I'd rather go ahead and get one or two pullets so that I have some eggs sooner.

I would like to find someone in the central to north Georgia area that has Easter Egger pullets for sale. I really really want a blue layer and maybe a pink, and hoping to find someone that has some for sale that have recently started laying.

The four chicks I'm expecting are, barred rock, rhoad island red, Easter egger, and welsummer.

Please if anyone fits the bill, or knows where I may have luck, give me a shout! Thanks so much!!

hey where do yall get those cute little animated emoticons?

Desktop version has a button on the posting tool bar with a little face where you can pick from a list. I don't have that option on mobile version. I don't know about other people.... They migtht have different settings where they can see them in mobile version. Or you can just memorize how they are made.... :D :)

Ahh ok. I don't use desktop version much. I am on my phone most times.

A long time ago there was an egg color chart (n + x = b sort of thing) on here. Does anyone have it saved or have an easy way to find it? Thanks

Welcome to BYC!

Which county are you in? Flowerbh is between Dawsonville and Ellijay. I'm in Hall County and wouldn't mind picking some up for you from her if that would help.

I also have a friend in Cumming who usually has Easter Eggers for sale. Her ad is below. I've bought from her a few times. She has quality stock.

We are in the Paulding / Cobb area. Thanks for the guidance! I don't mind a drive to get what I'm really looking for, what were you saying was between Ellijay and Dawsonville? I did see that CL posting before, but it's good to know that it's a reputable provider. Hoping to find someone with hens that have started laying already, but I'll keep that on backup.
Thank you again!

Flowerbh. She's one of our members here. If you PM her, I'm sure she can let you know what she has. I don't know if she has anyone to sell that is already laying, though.

I've also bought from the woman who sells in the below ad. She may or may not have layers available. She's not cheap, but I can vouch for the quality of her stock.
