YO GEORGIANS! :)

The chart shows a blue layer as the first egg on each line. What breed would that be? Is it easter egger? It shows easter egger at the end of the first line.:idunno

This chart was mainly on how to get Olive Eggers and then what you can get if you breed the OEs to different colored egg layers.

There are other birds that lay blue eggs besides an Easter Egger. Legbars, Ameraucanas, and Araucanas to name a few.

My pretty little olive egger I got from Flower is starting to put herself out there with the others. They were a bit rough on her the first day but not too terrible. She kept to herself inside the coop where nobody stays but the hateful broody on the floor. (She stayed up on the roost).

I checked her crop last night to be sure she is at least eating and she was. Today when I got home she was on a roost bar out in the run with the others. There was one other juvenile up there with her and hubby says when he watered them today she drank with everyone else.

So yay. :)

Almost had to call Dr. Flowerbh to my rescue. Decided to take my bike for a closer look at a waterfall somewhere in the woods of Dahlonega/Helen/Suches/Dawsonville and launched my bike off a decent sized drop off. Then when i went to recover it i lost my footing and slid off a 10-12' drop into a creek bed. Boy that waterfall sure was beautiful up close though. Hey the good news though. Today is Day 20!!!

Hey everyone,

I am located in North Georgia and I was wondering if anyone was selling turkey or turkey poults. I want 3 or 4 as pets.

Thanks

Glad you're okay, Cliff!

Welcome!

GAMarans may have some. I can't say for sure.

Do you have a specific breed in mind? I think there is a guy in Royston who sells them. PM me if you want to and I'll give you his number.

I used sawmill lumber since we had a lot left over after building the chick house. Some boards are up to 15" wide. I was going to say RR ties generally aren't tall enough to get a nice deep bed and are a pain to try to lift on top of each other. Since our land is hillside on the Chicken acres I preferred digging the top side down a bit then placing the prenailed bed in place. Some say it is a waste of available space but books have it down that you could get 4x the yields. Then there's the tire debate- they leech chemicals into plants/ animal feed/ water v/s perfectly safe cuz everything grows in em and I ain't dead yet...wonderful right?
