YO GEORGIANS! :)

This is
I have an OMG to share, Robo remember the bird I was telling you about the rooster that attacked me a couple of times I was asking if he could be broken, well we have had this bird for 2 weeks now and in his own house and pen well I let him out today and he is totally a different bird, I actually picked him up a couple of times and nothing no fight what so ever and no fighting with the other birds and I have a vacancy every single bird except the baby, babies are in one pen the house is not big enough for everyone so they are roosting on the roosts out side the house in the pen.  All snuggled up together, see I let my birds free range and then they would go to their own homes at night well tonight they all decided on one house the bigger of the 3 is that not crazy, so I have juvenile birds with grown birds and both roos and hens.  I was not home my DH locked them in and he said you have to come and see this.  WOW  Now I have room for my turkeys :celebrate  gotta get some
great glad everything is working out i know whats its like to have to get a roo thinking right!

Almost had to call Dr. Flowerbh to my rescue. Decided to take my bike for a closer look at a waterfall somewhere in the woods of Dahlonega/Helen/Suches/Dawsonville and launched my bike off a decent sized drop off. Then when i went to recover it i lost my footing and slid off a 10-12' drop into a creek bed. Boy that waterfall sure was beautiful up close though. Hey the good news though. Today is Day 20!!!

holy crap! I'm glad you are still in one piece!

Hey everyone,

I am located in North Georgia and I was wondering if anyone was selling turkey or turkey poults. I want 3 or 4 as pets.

Thanks

hello from Coweta County!

You might want to rethink the RR ties if you are going to use for raised beds. I was planning on it, we have a bazillion of them on the property that previous owners sunk in the ground to use as fence posts(but never putt up the fencing). I went to an organic gardening class at a local farm and asked about using them for beds and he told me not to use them. They contain creosote and it is toxic if you are planting anything that you plan to eat. I was bummed, because we have so many and they'd cost nothing to chop em down and use them. :idunno
yes, creosote is super toxic! Good post!

So I have the chance to get a few chicks from a local school... Black copper Marans, splash Marans, Andalusian (sp?) and orpingtons. I thought I'd poll the group. I have 11 hens now, but none are the above mentioned breeds.
