YO GEORGIANS! :)

You're making that poor half nekkid bird sit on eggs? Shame shame, tsk tsk tsk

What? She's not a NN! Just a cute little silkie. Although, not one of those eggs were hers! So far, two Polish mixes, one silkie mix, (from my other silkie, and a Swedish Flower! The other two eggs are a NN and another Swedish Flower. Hope to see those in the morning!

No i was making a joke about the one molting....a bad attempt on my part

Yes Flower she is a love! Always has been. The day of the swap I cursed all those Marans as I tried to round them up, lol. Then got to baby girl and she just stayed so sweet and let me scoop her up. Good girl!

The school near me is also hatching muscovy and Welch harlequin ducks this week if anyone wants any. I'm in Atlanta, near Sandy springs for location reference.

Wow, finally got caught up after this weekend!

First of all, thanks so much Robo and GAM for hosting! Your farm is so lovely! It was wonderful getting to meet everyone, even though I was only able to stay a little while. :D

Katsdar I'm so glad to hear that everyone is settling in! That's funny that you DH has claimed Acorn! He's a fun little bird.

Flower and Rocky Rhodes the chicks are doing great! I don't remember which is the legbar and which is the OE but they're both cute as can be and all three are getting along great. I might pick up an extra chick at the local feed store and move the big girls outside, though. They're not being mean to the little girl though.

I kicked on my cooler-bater as soon as I got home and it's starting to steady out! The humidity is staying exactly where I put it (I have it set for 45% for now, is that good?) But the temperature is fluctuating a bit still. It'll range between 97/98 and 101. Mostly it's hovering around 99/100, but I've seen it drop as low as 96, if only for a few seconds. Thoughts? I'm anxious to get these eggs in, but I don't want to kill them!

(Oh, and it turns out I can fit up to 2dozen eggs in it... so if this works I might be in trouble! Might have to enroll in an egg-loan program. Give me some eggs, and I'll give you back chicks! XD)

It was wonderful meeting you too, as far as your temps I'd say are fine and your humidity too and the drop in temp as long as it doesn't stay there for long your fine, remember the mamma bird gets off the nest. Course Flower jump in here if I need to be corrected.

It's a shame to have the boys ravaging the girls and not hatch the eggs so before I separate them- I can ship a mixed dozen of BLP and LO eggs for $10 plus shipping to your address. I only have a pair of each right now (until my chicks and juvies mature) but the girls lay 5-6 eggs per week. I won't be hatching more right now after the ones in the bator so that I can get digging on all the other stuff to be done around here. I've only had 2 clear BLP and no clear LO out of 3 or 4 settings this year and there's been plenty of romancing going on!

I'm planning to separate the BLP in a couple of weeks due to the beginnings of wing damage from over mating.

Thanks! I guess I'll go ahead and set them after work tonight unless I hear otherwise! Wish me luck! :celebrate
