Busy week! Sold 34 chicks to a guy, sold all my eggs at the farmers market and just sold two older chickens to Haireecat! The other two older girls will finally be going into the big coop tonight! Yay! That frees up so much space. Need to move the ducks and other older chicks so I can have room for the new babies I just hatched out last night! 10 of 12! (83%) . I was glad to get that many since this hatch had spent the first 10 days in the incubator that ran too high and killed a bunch of the last hatch! These were eggs from Rocky Rhodes and I ended up with 4 Naked Necks and won't be surprised if they turn out to be frizzles, too! It sure is weird.. the last two hatches were almost all females, this hatch is almost all boys! I am glad that my next hatch is for my friend and I get to hatch the eggs, but don't have to worry about selling them! I think after the Lav Ameraucana eggs that I am getting on the 1st hatch, that will be all for a while! Need a break!
 
I sold (I think) 17 chicks today!! :clap :clap

Whew!! Still have many to go but that's a huge help in freeing up space and will help buy food and shavings!! Sweetest little family too.. Love it. :)

Yes.. Yay!! AND, I got to talk to my friend GAM for a bit!! :D

FLOWER.. Hubby wants to come to your neck of the woods for a day trip this summer.. Some BBQ place we HAVE to try.. I told him there's plenty to do to make it a good trip.. AND we can maybe crash y'all's party too if the timing is right. :) BUT I will NOT be bringing any chickens so tell mr flower not to fret. :lau

That will be great fun! Not sure where Joe's BBQ is, but there is another one that Rocky Rhodes and his DW meet us at in Ellijay that is wonderful, too. It is Wolf Canyon Creek.. Atmosphere isn't the greatest, but the BBQ is fabulous! Maybe they could come, too! Tonight I will finally put my Partridge Brahma from you, Layla, and her buddy, Abby, into the big coop after dark. Hopefully they will all wake up friends! Yay, right! But at least the two girls will be initiated together! And, there is plenty of space for them to run to! Honestly, I don't know why chickens have to be so mean with newbies! How did your hatch (CCL) turn out?

Sav-a-Chick is an easy way to correct it. Within a few days they should improve if it is a vitamin thing going on.

Ga has bears but rest assured, I am not in Ga so I'll keep "my bears" to myself

I am at least 5 hours away and directly in beautiful bear country. This one was smaller than the one that came through our yard at a different loation 6 years ago.
