sounds like you got it well covered!
Something you can do for shade, that seems to have helped mine a good bit, when you get your run built, put landscape cloth over it. My chickens will all head under there in the afternoons when the sun is hitting the run.

hahaha monkey monkey doGam didn't you get some guineas? How are they doing mine are great,the white and the blue ones are so pretty, and they are doing their job, I kept forgetting to kill a huge ant hill, the guineas cleaned it up, I didn't think they would do any good bug control until they got a lot older. I still have not decided what sex they are, they all make funny noises, very vocal little guys especially if one can't find the group or the group is missing one, I have 5 chicks that run with them. Oh and it is like monkey see monkey do.
