I took it out to take pictures and I vaguely recall setting it in the box before it was planted. Every time I go out to check on the chickens, I want to stick my hand in the dirt and see if it's in there but I don't wan to ACTUALLY confirm that I did something so stupid. :rolleyes:

no we're not on a scientific field of medicine here, we're here to help each other. What some say works for them, others won't even try, especially if it looks uneducated and undocumented......

But I always try to temper my posts with what I can back up, you know, just in case someone wants to know where I got my information from. What I remember from grandma, I might not even be remembering right, might not have ever really happened and might have just been and old wives tale. and I also remember that grandma, and we had this discussion recently, said if I'd sprinkle salt on a birds tail, it couldn't fly away, so there's that.

Yes chickens will eat almost anything, heck they'll turn around and eat their own poo, one thing for sure though, they won't eat flour unless I give it to them because it's not readily available.

Exactly! If it's not guaranteed to work, most people will be reluctant to try it. I know I would be. I'm a bit of a nerd, and do EXTENSIVE research before I try or do anything medically related. The very few times I haven't, it's come back to bite me. As for feeding flour to a bird with runny poop, that's a sign of illness and stress, and it would be a whole lot better to treat the issue, and watch the droppings return to normal, then to stop them from being runny, and the bird still be sick.

there's been a couple of times in my life when science has looked at me and turned and ran......I hate to have to admit it, but that in and of itself is kind of proof.....
