But you right flour does give you alot of carbs that need to be burned off lol!Umm..... What?
Thank you very much! It took me so long but I kind of figured it would. I tried really hard not to let the OCD kick in but I am a stickler for detail. I am thrilled to have finished it. I've never built anything before. I'm also blessed with a husband who is quite patient and accommodating so he deserves credit in this. I'm pretty sure every time he looked at his CC balance, he was cringing (and sweating a little) but he has not expressed any regret. I love him to pieces.Man I'm jealous this is too beautiful!
Absolutely not. I cry about everything...Hubby and I arguing guys cause I feel like I deserved a better coop and run! Now I'm crying! Am I being childish? I don't ask for much though!
Thank you! They are farther apart and I have already started cutting pieces to fill the gaps. They are all large breeds but I feel that even though they are 1x2s that are only about 8" or less apart, there may need to be more. I also need to raise it a bit so the slope isn't so steep. That may eliminate the space issue but I will find out pretty soon. I'm glad I attached it with the hinge. I had a feeling I'd need to adjust that.Katiedarling your coop is so grand! You did an absolutely great job on it. How far apart are the up- pieces on your ramp? The first one I made I had put them about a foot apart. Only large fowl are in that coop but come winter I noticed the chickens would step then slide to the next one! Ended up putting another up-piece (the word for them has escaped me this morning) between each 12" one. I do believe they like it better cuz I don't see them slide between them coming down anymore. Gorgeous set up for your friends!
Thank you very much! I love impatiens too! My mom always had impatiens growing for as long as I can remember. I cannot live without them. They're a necessity for me. I have certain things that I just can't live without, impatiens are one of them.Katiedarling-your coop looks fantastic! I LOVE your impatiens. We had them around the house I grew up in. Would like to set them up around my house if I can find a shady area that the girls won't destroy. hahaha
Katie your chicken coop is gorgeous and i am sooo jealous it such a great thing to take pride in sometime that you build and take time on it until it is to your liking i think it looks great!!!Thank you very much! Hello, my name is Katie and I'm a 41 yo crybaby. (that's what I'd say at a crybabies anonymous meeting)

I think she's saying she has virgin gay roosters trying to breed, but they're lower on the pecking order than the hen, so she fights back, and maybe they tried to gang up on her and that's how her feathers got pulled out?Umm....what?
you can just prop the end up on a block or a piece of firewood to raise it. that will make it less steep, they won't might jumping up on the end. Mine all rarely go up from the end anyway. They hop up on it from the side. Silly chickens have no appreciation for all the hard work we put into designing and building their dream home.......Thank you very much! yeah i'd say probably so. that's only gonna be about 7" between so that should be fine. Make it less of a slope and they'll be ok. You got it GOIN ON girl! very nice work!already on it. That's the plan. I assume if the spacing is 8"and it's 1x2's on center, then it's less than an 8" gap. My suspicion is the slope is their trouble.
