I was gonna suggest if you hadn't already named her, ou should probably name her after one of the female MMA champions. Love me some MMA. The girl fights are the most entertaining. They're vicious. And sometimes seem way more driven than the guys.

Y'all. I just sold almost an entire BROODER full of chicks! I can hear the sigh of relief from my feed bill.

These are a new bird for us so I am actually having to do research and plan ahead and such.  Hoping for a successful hatch but also a little afraid of it as well ... even 85% of 196 is A LOT of birds. lol

NICE! see that green stuff in there, that grassy like substance? Nice that you have a pic for posterity sake............LOL it won't be there long!

LOL @ papa ... it's true, though. We occasionally buy a few pieces of sod to throw in with ours so that they can get some greens.

Give them kitchen and garden scraps, too ... and flip the shipping crate=like pallets over to protect new naturally occurring sprouts so they can grow out enough for the birds to eat.

I've thought about sod, but wonder if it's got any chemicals in it, fertilizer or bug killer. I let my kids out of the run for about an hour the other day. I got nervous that I wouldn't be able to keep them away from a few ant hills I poisoned so we lured them back into the run with watermelon rinds......LOL
