YO GEORGIANS! :)

ND I also have a small coop/run (dog house type) that I'm selling. If anyone here is interested I'll cut you a BYC deal ;)

The chicks would fit great in there to grow out after a few weeks. :gig

Oh Carcar you just have to keep some LO! My boy is a gentle giant. It may be 8 months before the ladies start laying but they are awesome layers. Folks that come to buy from me are amazed by my boy's size. I thought for sure he'd end up killing the juvies when I integrated them (cage in coop for a week or two) if he decided he didn't like them. Turned out he didn't care but the older female sure put them in their place!

Hello fellow Georgians!

Just started "trying" to have chickens.. My "flock" so far..

2 Bantam Hens -- Gave away
3 Black Jersey Giants (1 Roo and 2 hens all are 1 year old)
7 Game Hens (Not sure of breed, age.. or anything really)

Will be going to some Flea Markets over the weekend..

Welcome to BYC!

As others have stated. some of our members have chicks to sell. It's a good way to get chicks you know are healthy

Is Sweet PDZ biodegradable?

I've started using it on my poop board and combined with diatamaceous earth, it pretty much turns into scoopable cat liter which makes keeping the coop clean a very easy task.

Anyways, I need to change it out and was trying to figure out if I can just dump it into my yard or into my "soon to be" compost.

Umm, first reply to the forum I was invited to and I messed it up lol. We're in the small town of Dearing, GA here. In the even smaller area of the countryside known as Pea Ridge. We love the simple life and all the silence and peaceful tranquility it has to offer. ;-)
