YO GEORGIANS! :)

Oh cool! I've worked for mac since 2000. I'm a freelancer/on-call for them now so I tell THEM when I'm available to work. LOL And, I get to work at whatever counter I feel like working at. I like it that way. When I was more ambitious about it a few years ago, I would send a CCd email to all the counter managers and tell them what days I was able to book for three months at a time and it would keep my schedule full. And I got dibs on all the good shifts!  It was a lot of driving but it was nice to work at 2-3 different locations each week instead of the same old store every day. One of my favorite counters to work was in Athens. My friend Charity worked there and we had a lot of fun. But, now I'm 2 hours away(at least) instead of 45 minutes! Bummer!

Yeah, really, how cool, I loooove Mac products!

You know, this is probably going to sound nuts, but I noticed a big difference in the two bags I have. One I bought is food grade, from a small company and shipped directly to me. It got rid of mites/lice on my chickens in one day. The other bag I have is from a big box store and does absolutely nothing to control even aphids in my garden.

So maybe there's a difference. ? It seems ridiculous to say, considering the fact that it's just dirt, but that's been my experience.

Makes sense to me. Shipped direct = super fresh. Big box = shelf life gets eaten up in transport, sitting in stock room before sitting on shelf waiting to be purchased.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY and do what katiedaring said yep she right get a manaicure and a pedicure and while you go get ya hair washed cut or trim and styled it will make you feel 100% better even if just go to great clips or fantatics sams just to name a few suggestions in other words do something just for yourself just because you want to .Whew with all that said HAPPY BIRTHDAY again!!!!!

you know, if you have to say 'whew' yourself after typing a post, I can imagine how much fun an actual conversation with you would be.......LOL

well, I bought mine at tractor supply. But it is food grade. I'm curious, did you apply it directly to the chickens or just put it in their dust bath area and bedding?

When I applied it to the ant hill, I kicked it to make them come out. It did kill the ones that came out and crawled through it, they would start struggling and then flip down the side of the hill. It was actually fun to watch, remembering all the times I've been bitten by them buggers...........
But the next day I came out and they'd just made a new mound off the side of it, and didn't go in and out through the old mound. I want something that kills them instantly, like guineas, LOL

as for the mites and lice on the chickens, well I've not seen any evidence of having any yet, since all the chickens I have right now all came in as just hatched and have been kept either in the brooder in the kitchen, or in the coop run that has no access for any outside birds at all. I do keep them a dirt bath area and that's where I empty the wood ash from my smoker, so perhaps that is helping as well

Wowsers! It is hot and humid outside. I think it's time to set up a chicken pool for my girls to cool off in. I have seen them "dip their feet" in the past. However, all I can find at the moment are styrofoam coolers. *sigh*. Guess I'll be stopping by TSC for a cheap litterbox tomorrow.

It's miserable out there. It makes me nauseus!

They're cool. I like them, but I also like Makeup Forever, Too Faced, Urban Decay, OCC and Ben Nye(stage/theater stuff). I'm actually in love with a couple of drugstore products too. The True Match foundations, Infallible lip glosses (I think they're Loreal) and a Revlon stain/gloss. Also NYX.

I really like the unban decay eyeshadow.

I use a cheap litter box feeding as well a dirt bath inside the pen

So I finally had someone say something about my birds worth sharing! By brother came over with his wife, and I was talking about my ducks which are the newest addition to my flock.

Brother: are any boys?
Me: yea, two are. I'm getting rid of one this week though.
Her: why are you keeping any? What are they good for?
Me: I'm hatching eggs from them next year.
Her: yeah, so, why do you need them?
Brother:... Honey, you need a dude to have kids.
Her: but why do they? The girls already lay eggs.
Brother: the eggs aren't fertile though, you still need a guy.
Her: wait, so ducks actually DO IT???
Brother: all animals do it!
Her: what??? I never new birds had to! I thought they were like frogs and fish, and just layed eggs.
Brother: frogs and fish do it too!!

We then had to calmly explain the animal's reproduction to her, and yes, ducks do indeed "do it"

When it comes to make up, I don't have a clue, I only know MAC but it makes more sense that stage/theater make up is much better!
