YO GEORGIANS! :)

got our first brown egg today! It's funny that even though the black australorps are bigger than the leghorn hens, the egg was so much smaller. Of course I realize they'll get bigger. Oh, and it was in the same nest as the leghorn has been laying in! although the golf balls were moved around in one of the other nests, she was either up there checking it out, or practicing her putting...........

Congrats Papa!! I'm soooo dying for a blue or green egg over here. My dang gold Brahma is broody AGAIN.. It'd be great to get some AM to put under her!

I did catch Flower the olive egger giving the AM a ride yesterday though, so it shouldn't be long for her at least!

the boy am you got from me? how's he doin? all three of these are crowing now. The light colored one you debated on taking has started. Sounds more like he's screaming though instead of crowing!

He is doing wonderful. Crows at 5:30 sharp each morning.. My little alarm clock!

I went out the other night about midnight, turned on the porch light, and all three roosters crowed..........

the grand daughter was out with a flashlight, shined it on the coop, the roosters crowed.........

I'm beginning to think they'll crow at the drop of a hat, and throw one down if no one else will.
