Hey y'all I just had a quick question.I just bought my house on an acre and a half outside of city limits in long county. Does anyone know if I can have chickens here? No one around here has an answer for me. I know it's a long shot but I figured Id try asking here. Thanks in advance
Everyone is making me want to get a turkey now...not just from this thread but from others as well and probably a duck too!Alright i know i am late to this party but turkeys grow incredibly fast. The 3 poults are 11 days old now and the wing feathers are almost 3" long. They are already dwarfing my chicks that are 13 days old. This is wild to watch side by side.
I've got 3 adult chickens, 1 duck, 3 moden game bantam s that are still fairly young, 4 chicks and now 3 poults. Variety.Everyone is making me want to get a turkey now...not just from this thread but from others as well and probably a duck too!![]()
yes they do and when I had my BBB's I fed them what the chickens got and they did just fine, the growth was a bit slower but no ill effects just an FYI, turkey/game feed is expensive and when I had the regular bronze I did the same and they were good too.Alright i know i am late to this party but turkeys grow incredibly fast. I feed everyone Flock Raiser. It's good for the turkeys, the ducks, the chickens, the adults, the chicks, the roosters, the hens. So much easier than different food for everyone.yes they do and when I had my BBB's I fed them what the chickens got and they did just fine, the growth was a bit slower but no ill effects just an FYI, turkey/game feed is expensive and when I had the regular bronze I did the same and they were good too.

I just love this roo, and his crow is starting to sound better not so much like a strangled cat.
