YO GEORGIANS! :)

ok Ms Kat came and picked up her 12, I have one more already promised to, but she hasn't let me know what she wants yet. When I see what I have left vs what I want to keep, I'll post up and see if anyone else wants a few.

I feel like all I've done today is clean pasty butts,

The kitten is staying. Deja ruled. lol! My neighbor (6 years old) named her Bella.

My neighbor is bottle-feeding her for me when I'm at work.

I am one blessed woman.
yes you are and it's well deserved. We now have a puppy that was dumped, took her to the vet and she is about 11 weeks, and we have had her for 3 weeks, someone did a number on her cause it took her 2 weeks really that long before she started to act like a puppy and not tuck her tail all the time and start to play and jump around.

I have had a wonderful day, first I went to a quilting class and learned a new technique. Then I picked up 12 new babies!! Now funny story. I called my DH after leaving Papa's and told him I have new babies and the cell reception between Rome and Cedartown is not the best in spots, so when DH got home I asked does he want to see the babies, so we went and looked and he said you told me 2 babies not a whole flock, so banter back and forth no I didn't yes you did, then I realized I said "New babies" and he heard "Two babies"

course before he saw the babies he asked how much did they cost so I told him, really pay that for 2 babies. So anyway I thought that was funny

that mama hen walked circles for about 20 minutes after you left looking for them too. I doubt that they can count, but she knew the crowd had definitely thinned out somewhat,

Have 25 eggs in one bator. Due the 9th. Just received my new Lav Am and BCM eggs today. They will go in another bator and will be due on the 16th. I will probably add some of my colored eggs to fill it up. Why not, right? That will make it about 60+ eggs!

I so need an incubator!!!!

Once my babies grow, I will have lavender orps, speckled sussex, Swedish Flowers, and now Ameraucanas and Buff Orps to raise :)
Hmmm, so I need one large pen and at least a couple small runs for individual breeds when I want hatching eggs.
We have the posts and wire for the large pen, along with the metal side of a 4' above ground pool.
We will take the pool metal and cut in half, leaving 2 strips a bit over 2' tall. Those will be buried some, then make the bottom part of the pen.
The fence will go above that, making the pen 6' high.

the my smaller pen, made from a bunch of dog panels will be available for one breed, or more than likely my grow out pen.

Plans.... Now to just get them together. I was hoping we would get the pen started on Sunday, but the weather isn't helping with that!

Icky yukky day here!
Great Pyr still hasn't learned that chickens are not toys, so they don't range while she is in my yard.
I can't move her to daughter's yard cause of the rain and puddles. so birds are penned today :(

Round one of bus route done, getting ready for round 2, then some birthday shopping for my oldest, then round 3 (taking them home).
Then pick up a trailer of racing pigeons for a race tomorrow from Tennessee. WHEW!
Plus birthday lunch tomorrow, and probably dinner too. This is my oldest, my farm helper. And she has been counting days all month til her big day!

Then Sunday I go meet PapaChaz :)
