For those of you who didn't pick up on my earlier post, I got my very first ever olive egg today!!!! It is just the most beautiful egg ever lol, but she is keeping her identity a secret, now if I could just get my blue egg, and my white egg, to go with my brown egg, I'd like to get a few more of the olives and blue layers, soooooo hooked, my coop for 40 birds is so not going to be big enough

Sorry about this whole issue I can see that you cannot take a joke and that's is what's getting to a lot of people some of us take everything way too serious ,it dad when people can poke a bad side at another person but cannot take it themselves ,and if YOU can't understand then I must apologize for YOUR misunderstanding at a light hearted poke of a little fun
excuse me? no you are NOT apologizing for me misunderstanding your joke, because in reality you were just posting false information and now trying to cover it up by say 'it was a joke'..... I did report your posts, because see it's like this, you post eggs for sale and then post a 'I can tell 98% they are fertile because I learned how in a candling class'....sounds like you just made up something to try to help sell your eggs.....

so don't go apologizing for me misunderstanding, because I'm pretty sure I understand perfectly what you're trying to do....there's a word for it

Congrats!!!! I want an few olive egg layers myself! Hhahahahaha!!! :lau

I'm seriously considering putting a light in the coop and setting it to go off around 7 pm to see if I can get them girls back to being busy again. Gonna be difficult to incubate eggs and sell chicks if they're not going to give me eggs!

Most of what I've read (and what I've found with my pigeons, who also get lights to get early year babies) is that your lights should go on early, but let them go to bed by natural sundown.
That way they aren't off the perch when lights suddenly go out, leaving them in the dark.

I have to agree, your post was NOT a joke, but rather an attempt to sell us on your so called 'fertile eggs'.
I actually was interested, until this.

And congatulations! I can't wait for an olive egg. Actually, can't wait til my stubborn Ameraucanas decide to start laying again.
Glad that coop size is not an issue for me. I can have as many as I want, so long as they are mostly paying for their feed with egg sales.

Ok fellow Georgians...help me out here. I would like to buy some Coronation Sussex chicks or hatching eggs. I have been looking around for a while now and would like to be able to go pick them up in a one day turn around from northwest Ga (a long day is ok). That would mean just about anywhere in Ga, middle TN, middle Al, Eastern NC & SC and the FL panhandle. I had high hopes when finding a GA breeder who had a great flock of Australian CS well within my range but after exchanging messages with him I learned he is completely out of the CS business due to lack of profitability. I'm not looking for a business...just want some CS chickens. Anyone who has any info please contact me here or PM.
Thanks
chuck
