YO GEORGIANS! :)

Ok fellow Georgians...help me out here. I would like to buy some Coronation Sussex chicks or hatching eggs. I have been looking around for a while now and would like to be able to go pick them up in a one day turn around from northwest Ga (a long day is ok). That would mean just about anywhere in Ga, middle TN, middle Al, Eastern NC & SC and the FL panhandle. I had high hopes when finding a GA breeder who had a great flock of Australian CS well within my range but after exchanging messages with him I learned he is completely out of the CS business due to lack of profitability. I'm not looking for a business...just want some CS chickens. Anyone who has any info please contact me here or PM.
Thanks
chuck

Just looked them up, what gorgeous birds! Hope you are able to find some.

Have you looked under the 'buy, sell,or trade' section on this website? Also, Google CS and look for the breeders list. Also google CS for sell. It seems like I saw some for sale not too long ago. Good luck.

I got an egg like your olive one in the middle today!!!  My neighbor thought I colored it,  my very first olive egg, :weee

PM gachickennewbie, she has the hook up to some buff orphington, I bought some from ga's friend and very happy with the birds. but they are 20 bucks each but not sickly and they were hens and of good stock, so to me it was worth it.  course maybe the price is cheaper who knows, nothing ventured, nothing gained.

I might in the summer which translates to yep, yep, yep

Awesome thank you. I will do that!

Thanks...I know where I can find them in far away places...waltz's ark in colorado and several others. But the problem with buying any chicks from "big time breeders" you are generally getting their culls, which often turn out to be ok...just saying. That's why I want to be able to go get them...see the flock and surroundings, etc.

Yes...I have done all of the above. The popularity for the CS is waning...the price has come down and many breeders have moved on to the latest-greatest thing.

Try contacting Morning Glory Farm in Rockmart. I know she did have CS.. Not sure if she still does but she will begin hatching before too long. Great place to get chicks! :)
