Nutrena rep is asking if i am going to throw a Chicken Swap party this spring. Anyone interested? Thinking maybe just shooting for March, April and May. Or end of February, March and April. If anyone has any thoughts feel free to speak up or message me.

Lets do March, April and May lol, will give me more time to get prepped for my new arrivals, I need blue egg layers, Olive layers, Brahma's, Pappa I need your Blue Americanas
If I get my bator fixed then will need eggs of the above listed,
Oh. Mah. Gah.

Please remind me what crummy luck I've had with shipped eggs. Please.

I just found BROWN LEGHORN eggs in GA. That's hardly far enough to be considered truly shipped!!

Stop me.
Where in GA? Maybe we can do an egg relay, oh wait he's shipping, forgot

Um. HELP!!?

I'd put a couple of stitches, clean with iodine first and then add neosporin the one without pain relief.

I say clean it with iodine and just watch it. If you can get blue kote tomorrow I would.

I agree. It doesn't look so bad to me. If you have an asepto syringe or turkey baster you can flush some soapy and then clean water thru it (in case it tunnels in any direction).. Or a water and iodine mix. And let heal from inside out, no stitches.

She'll be fine I feel certain :)

What area are we looking at, anyway?

Bargain, Papa Brooder, Arielle, charm1708, DMRippy are some of my favorite sellers here. I will have to look through my pm's to get other names. They care and they know what they're doing with shipped eggs. We have had much success with eggs from these folks.

Thanks for the info. I have been looking around on here today trying to find some. There is so much on here its kind of a hit and miss until I figure it all out. HA!

Thanks y'all. I poured some iodine over it and blotted some on with a cotton ball. She won't. Let me get at it & mystitched up finger's getting in my way. @Carcar, it's the left side of her neck. She's eating some boiled egg and exploring the kitchen, so she seems alright to me(?). Vet said keep it clean. I'm surprised she texted me back so late. Gonna keep her inside with us for a bit. I'm assuming the iodine is gonna tunnel in a bit(?). It was just a teeny squirt of it.

Not sure if you were here a couple yrs ago when one of my hens disappeared for a night then returned missing most of her "arse" .. Which promptly brimmed over with maggots.. It was hideous. And she made a full recovery.

Trust me.. They're tougher than we think!! :)
