Good Morning y'all. I swear I am getting a complex, it seems all of the chicken folk here are in north Georgia. I'm in Loganville, I've only seen one recent post from a new person in Winder.

Anywho...So excited as I have my forced air bator running with 7 ebay Cream Crested Legbar eggs and 6 Mottled Cochin eggs from my gals. I had expected an additional set of Blue Copper Maran eggs in there to but...ebay posted est delivery yesterday where as the seller is saying um no and where did I get that from etc. They have said they will ship Monday. Okay so now I'll have a continuous hatch situation going on (yikes my first like this). I have a mixed flock just under 30, I'm not a big hatcher. I have a showgirl silky setting on several Cochin eggs currently, she is so dutiful and sweet. Getting to my question I promise. I'm thinking about a 2nd unit for hatching only to move the eggs into when they are ready for that phase so the others can continue in the auto turner and humidity level. Does anyone have a plan for a good DIY version for this purpose? I am handy, I've built all of my coops etc. Thanks ahead of time.

Yesterday my local Grayson TSC had a get to know the neighbors day. Great prices on good feed, missiing parts to blue see thought water buckets I like and have had great success with and I was told that Grayson has said they can not have any live poultry (chick days) :( I did score a new hat for free like I need anymore lol
 
I look out over everything with plans for extensions to the coops, a broody pen/run addition, gardens and prep work to keep them safe from the chickens etc. It is hard to actually enjoy working on any of this when your bundled up like a rolly polly.
 
From one of the better Georgia Winter Weather forecasters ...

Not much change in my thoughts for Monday and Tuesday. Watch for black ice Tuesday morning. Flurries will be seen by a lot of us. A brief heavier snow shower will be around for a few of you too but there just isn't enough moisture to change plans. If that changes I'll let you know.
HOLY SNOW STORM FOR FEBRUARY 16th and 17th
If this mornings EURO model holds the current idea I will wet my pants lol
1-2" inches from about 20 miles south of Macon, north to I-16
2-4" up to about Newnan to McDonough to Augusta
4-6" from around the McDonough line up to I-20
6-8" from I-20 to a line from Rome to Gainesville to Commerce to Hartwell
8-10" north of that line.
Third run in a row with that look. It will come and go for the next few days. But you can see why I am excited.
It COULD totally fall apart. But right now I like the set up and that it is becoming consistent in the models. Heck, cut the totals in half and I'll be excited.
One other thing, the way it looks now, it is ALL SNOW as modeled now. No ice. No sleet.
Here's hoping for a fun 9 days together. I'll post again tonight. And probably at least once or twice a day between now and the 17th.
