YO GEORGIANS! :)

Hey PapaChaz, are you talking about Justin Smithey in Sugar Valley? We went to the same church when he was in high school and college. I know he has been showing dogs at the big shows for some time and he had goats the last time I was up there. I didn't know he was into chickens.
BTY your brooder looks good!!

yes that's him. He has the kennels also, but he does purebred AMs, blue, black, wheaten and splash, and last I talked to him he was doing cream legbars, and I think he had some game chickens too, but if memory serves me he shows those....

and thanks!

they may be referring to one that's upcoming at the griffin store, ummmmm, I wanna say NEXT weekend?

Ok. My brain is just overflowing with chicken dates and plans. LOL.

We got the 25 two and three week olds moved to the garage today in their 4'x4' brooder.

Now waiting for the incubator to finish up so we can put another box in the living room. LOL.

have you gotten any eggs from any of the pullets from my sept hatch? I have 2 of those left, the splash AM and one of the EEs from one of the australorps. She's starting to look a bit red in the face, the splash isn't at all yet. They are 22 weeks now? maybe 23? I'll have to count up, LOL

edit to say, after counting, they're 21 weeks old, so still might be a bit early

I haven't. We have a couple black ones, but Dani's little friend is a boy, I'm guessing EE from the Austrolorp since he has the white legs.
The black ones are looking as big as the adults, but not looking ready to lay yet.
I don't know why, but there are no blue ones left.

awww, I hate you've lost all the blues! I'm going to be hatching some, and I am going to make sure to separate the eggs at lockdown so I can band the AMs and know for sure which are which. I'm not sure if I'm going to put those in a shoebox, or just divide it with some kind of framing, but I definitely want to keep them separate for ID purposes

Wooo Hooo! I finally got the waited for "Your chicks have been shipped" notice! Tomorrow thru Thursday. Will know more in a few hours when they actually have the package keyed into the computers at Usps!

And a few of my broodies chicks are almost out! Yea! Perfect timing!
let me know what day, and about what time you're expecting them and I'll go ahead and come get my 5 welsummers. I'm not sure I'm going to make it to the newnan show this weekend
