TSC usually has them. I do the same for my chickens as Sable does, I have water bottles for the chicks, a small bucket in the coop brooder and a 5 gallon bucket for my newest coop/run. My playhouse coop/hoop run has a 30 gallon barrel with PVC pipe and 5 nipples. I had 17 in that run at one time. Love the barrel, I fill it once a month. I have thought on extending a pipe from it into the 'in coop' brooder, but really it's better to keep the chicks water separate for mixing electrolytes etc.....I was wanting to get some watering nipples. Who has some in the Douglasville, Villa Rica area? Or do I just need to order some?
I used a shampoo bottle holder that goes in the shower. I just cut the bottom out big enough to let the top through. It will hold 3 - 20 oz bottles which is great for putting electrolytes and probiotics in separate bottles. I mix it in a milk jug and set it aside......If all goes well, Yup!
These are the bottles I make, you'll have to figure out hanging as far as what works for you, I used an old wire hanger. I'm trying to figure out something better though, and when I do that will be included with the waterers.
These are the buckets I'll be using. They'll have 4 nipples in the bottom, and I used an L-hook plant hanger to hang mine in my coop.
I love that shampoo holder idea! I might have to use that for the next brooder I make.I used a shampoo bottle holder that goes in the shower. It works great!![]()

definitely cheaper than a store bought hanging waterer. But not as clean and easy as it would have been if you'd put the nipples in the bottom of the bucketI used a 25 gallon old paint bucket with lid a d a oil drip pan. I poked holes in the bottom to make a full line. You fill it up and they get continuous water, as it fills the drip pan as it goes down. Cost was less than $5.
i mentioned a few pages back, I start them on the nipples as soon as they hatch! Hold the chick in one hand, hold it's beak next to the nipple and press the nipple however you can to make the water come out. they learn quick! When I got home last thursday from going to meet flower to pick up the 5 welsummer chicks, I immediately took them one by one out of the box and did this. By the time I got to the 3rd chick, the first two were already back drinking from the other bottle.True... I clean it every other day, I really don't mind as I don't have much else to do, but I might convert one to nipples when I add my 16 babies to the rest of the flock. I need to read more about nipples...
