YO GEORGIANS! :)

I cannot believe there are people wishing for broodies, and I have an entire flock of them.

Such is life...

I'd love a broody!
I'm with carcar80 on the broodies, I let ONE hen go broody and hatch chicks in a small pen in the coop and in 2 days I was fighting to get the hens out of the nest boxes. I isolated hens for days and still have one that's not been broken. Never again in my main coop, that stuff is contagious!

Oh, good point. Maybe I should move mine out of the main coop.

@Shades of Sable
Welcome. I hope for the best for her

@Goldie1234
I have some mixed Bramha eggs if u want any (I might be able to get a bantam egg or 2)

It was a good time yesterday with y'all! as usual. Thanks GAM & Robo for the hospitality! THe newbie are settled in and we are having fun with them.

I want oipinions on quarantine time. I have seen everything from 14 days to 21 day. I did 21 with the last ones, but it seemed an awful long time. What time frame do some of y'all go by?
I would just let the chickens see your other chickens through a fence something for a day or two and then turn them out together, you know where the birds came from, I know Silver Hills girl is very healthy/bug free if you ever get to see his operation you'd understand why, and she is a sweet baby, I helped pick her out!!! so I get a tiny bit of credit,

yeah you got that right

@Tabasco Jack your quail eggs were great, I didn't think an egg could get smaller than a bantam egg, my DH said they would make wonderful pickling eggs,
