I now have a PO'd rooster hemmed up in the wood coop.. He mated my Brahma hen and then proceeded to STAND on her back afterward, pick out three beak-fulls of feathers and spit them out, then mate her again.

He's leaving ASAP.

My rooster in the moment I sat here. He has attacked/mated with the same hen 4 times and she was hiding before I came and saved her again like every evening

Here she is now, she was hiding in the coop from him until she saw him coming and she darted out. It's like, is he singling her out bc something is wrong with her? Or does she just look like crap bc he's been at her all day? He walks up to all the unsuspecting ones and just NAILS them on the head.

If you would like a new Barred roo let me know and I'll give him to ya, he's young and I have 2 you can choose from, no I don't want to swap, thanks for the offer

I think they decided water boarding is illegal 




ok so here are the eggs I have:

1 Maran nothing marked on it
2 brown eggs no markings
5 BYM marked BYM--white egg and brown eggs
4 blue no markings, 3 small 1 large
2 LA
1 R

so if you can tell which one is your egg let me know 

Well, the eggs I brought were a pretty light brown to beigey color, maybe medium sized. The marans eggs I brought were medium -smallish and they weren't extra dark. The only marking on all of them would be the date they were laid, written in pencil. They'd be dated from 4/25-4/29. This is what my handwriting looks like.

I'm dying to see what everyone's new babies look like! Maybe some day I'll get the courage to try hatching.
