All the eggs were bantam d'uccles except for one lavender amauracana egg (which did finally hatch, by the way @feathersaloft!) And the bantam mix from you (which was unfortunately infertile ).
Unless something will have changed by tonight I think the hatch is done. 3 D'uccles for sure, and one more was on the way out when I left (but I've learned that doesn't necessarily mean I'll have a live chick when I get home) and one lavender Americana chick. I'll throw the last 3 eggs in the incubator probably when I get home and if they hatch, awesome! But 5 out of a dozen is still the best ratio I've gotten in a while.

ok, my experiment didn't work, I have the chick back inside, my hen figured out they were not hers

that just means they will love me more!!!
