YO GEORGIANS! :)

OMG! I have so many chickens who are molting, I can't even see the pine shavings covering the coop floor anymore! Nothing but feathers! Does anyone need a new feather pillow??? LOL!

When do chickens molt? I haven't seen any signs of it, but my oldest girls are just over a year. Is that normal?
I did notice that my hen that's had perpetual naked butt for the last year did just start growing her feathers back, but that's it. (Of course, no sooner did they start showing back up than someone started plucking them again... ugh. Got them all on feather fixer, using no-pick, and nothing seems to help. Guess I just get to deal with 2 naked butt chickens.)

how are those eggs pretty awesome huh
Ridiculous how they produce. Holy cow! And yummy, too.

I know this has nothing to do with chickens but Carroll Ag is holding a bee keeping workshop September 20 th 6.30 to 8.30 the instructor is Dr . Delaplane it cost 15 dollars phone number is 770 836-8546 .
They do a lot of interesting classes ... they had a canning class not long ago. (saw the sign)

Well, just put the last 9 juveniles in the big coop last night. ummm, can we say that they have created havoc with the layers? Only one egg! yes, just one egg, from what.....40+ hens!? hahahha! They just don't like change, do they??? Well, plus the fact they are molting so bad.....and, I have one that just went broody! Crazy chickens!
