BTW, the darker of the two spangled orps I got from you is already trying to go broody. I know the look...lol! She laid yet another egg today, and she spent a lot of time rearranging the chopped hay to make a nest to her exact specifications. She's a grunter which is a trip! I don't know if you had a name for her, but Lisa is calling her Mabel and the other one Eloise. The SF is Sven the Flower Boy. Obviously Lisa has the sickness worse than I do...lol Anyway, here's a photo of the pretty egg she laid just a few minutes ago:

That's funny because one of their names WAS Mabel!!!!! The other was Matilda. So glad they are laying for you.....that means they are not stressed from the move!

BTW, it was fun meeting you and your family!

Oak Ridge, near Knoxville. Ya know, the secret city from the Manhattan Project? That isn't secret anymore but people still don't know about us

That is too funny! Okay, I have to know which one is Mabel. Is she the one you were holding? If we need to, we will switch the names. And, of course the name Eloise will change back to Matilda. We're very much enjoying these girls, and spoiling them seems to be working. You obviously have taken great care of them. I was concerned that after leaving the Taj Mahal that they would protest their new spartan quarters, but just like true orpingtons, if they're fed well, they're happy.

It was nice meeting you and your chicken-loving hubby as well...
