I'm making potato salad right now. I'm such a procrastinator.

Hey, that just means that the potato salad will be that much fresher!

The butts are still in the smoker. The last one will probably finish at 2:00 a.m. They were started at 2:00 p.m. and will be pulled (shredded) at 7:00 or 8:00 a.m. I want them to still be warm when we bring them to the picnic; however, they may have have to go into the crock pot to keep the temperature up. They were great looking butts, so I hope they taste as good as they looked going in.

I can't even think about setting any eggs for awhile (Well, at least I can't. No telling what Lisa will want to do. lol). We have over 80 chickens right now, and over half are pullets and cockerels, so there are too many young uns, and you know the kind of time they require. I've even shut down the breeding pens until the new coop and run are completed.

That's where I am. New coop in progress, grow out with 6 week olds, ten 1 week olds in the brooder & I need to assess before setting more eggs although I want to!! Bringing @katsdar her birds & hopefully that does us both a good turn.

I'm planning on being there around 11-11:30. Traveling with little boys & birds being my handicap.

Awesome! Good luck! I'll be cleaning my 'bator out this weekend and setting whatever I take home tomorrow ASAP!

I'm bringing 54 barnyard mixes, but I can only take 24 back home.

I put now 5 broodies in what is called the dog pen. Since these girls have lost 2 babies due to them sitting and not taking the babies to eat, I didn't catch these in time, I've been taking them away but now they will have no excuse for not getting the babies to food and water. They are locked down in a small pen attached to a house so they can't get out and no one can get in to lay eggs in their nest or bug them. I'm gonna make a sign Maternity ward.

See y'all soon. We are slowly rising this morning after being up late winning in little league tournament. I have the shirts, my boys & @katsdar 's new babies. Looking forward to seeing everyone & getting my new baby from @brucifer !! If anyone thinks of anything I need to bring, holler!
