YO GEORGIANS! :)

Predator Question: We had something knock over our rabbit hutch (about 100lbs), push thru the hardware cloth on the bottom and take the rabbit. The hutch has been there for 3 years. This is cobb county. Any ideas what sort of predator could do this? My first thought was a few coyotes pushed it over on their hind legs and one busted thru - but someone mentioned bear. I've never seen a bear around us nor have I heard of black bear going after live animals - but I figured this group would be a good one to post for opinions.

Thoughts?
We had a bear totally tear off the door to the coop and ate two chickens and killed 5 others. I'm sure the bear was initially interested in the feeders, but once inside, the opportunity for a chicken dinner was too tempting to pass up.

Yes ga does but the closer to the country the bigger a BEAR can be.
Food supply and quality is the main thing that cause a bear to get big. A bear feeding in trash cans may not be as large as a bear feeding in a corn field, but how big will they grow eating domestic livestock? Maybe a Country bear got lost and ended up in the city. I think I saw that in a cartoon once. :D

F Y I... Ellijay TSC still has a lot of little ones left, barred rocks, white leghorns, california whites, mixed bantams, and lots of BO's. They had a couple other breeds, just can't remember which ones. No Ducks left. Hurry, Hurry, Hurry.:jumpy:D
