Lost my last Swedish Flower hen today. Just found her dead under the roost this morning. She was 4 1/2 years old. Wonder is she fell off the roost in the night. That roost is about 10 feet high. It's always sad to lose a pet.

On another note, one of my broody's hatched 3 chicks last night. She started with about 8 eggs. Some got smashed when another hen tried to get in the nest, some just seemed to disappear....weird. Three CCL eggs just stopped. Wonder why they didn't do well. The only eggs that hatched were brown ones!

I have two more broodies sitting on eggs....due in 2 weeks. That makes 11 broodies this summer so far! UGH!

I always have a hard time with my cream legbar eggs. I'm thinking it's the breed.
 
I have some pretty Silkies for sale 15.00 each If anyone is interested. I also have some mixes for 8.00. Just had a couple of blues hatch one dark one light.what is the difference between lavender and self blue?

Silkies are so cute! But, they are such a broody breed! I saw someone asking for silkies just a day ago.....it may have been on the facebook poultry group. I will see....
 
Seperated cockerals from pullets today. Don't want mixed cockerals in with my pure silkies. Don't know what to do with most of my mixed silkie cockerals. Keeping one or two but the rest have to go. Selling mixed silkie cockerals for 2.00 each.
