YO GEORGIANS! :)

hey y'all! been gone a good while, how's everyone?

Been busy lately so I feel like I’m on here a little less than before. Made some salmon for dinner and planted some lemon 🍋 seeds so we’ll see how that turns out. Love the daylight savings time. Got darker later which was awesome today since it was nice weather.

Chatsworth, Ga(Murray County) here.
Welcome! I’m originally from Whitfield County, now living in Centre, AL. I am certain we know some of the same people...especially if you’ve ever gone to Wagon Train.

BYC is a wonderful place to be a part of. I’m sure you will enjoy your time here.

so cool @hysop ! I got a Meyer lemon tree last year and a lime tree. My lim tree kicked the bucket and Thought I was gonna lose the lemon tree. Just noticed last week it has several buds on it. I'm cautiously thrilled, I have the black thumb of death so it is still likely to go south. LOL

We have planted 50+ fruit trees over the past few years because my theory was "something has to survive" lol. I haven't counted the survivors but it's probably not 50+. :lau

I lost two pear seedlings and 1 apple seedling today, they just up and wilted 🥀 . I don’t even know what happened. But I am transferring the rest to individual pots soon to rule out overcrowding. I do need to look for natural bug repellants for them.

@CluckNDoodle — that’s my rule too. I have more apple seeds brewing in my refrigerator to up my odds.

It's bound to work eventually right! lol

Neem oil is a natural pest control method. It's a bit difficult to get to mix with water but I has luck using a little natural caster soap in water and the cold pressed neem oil. Soap can kill some pests on contact too so it worked out. I have since been focusing on planting more plants in an effort to attract beneficial insects that will eat the pests without spraying anything.
