Yogurt?

Hi, what do you think about feeding yogurt to sick chicks? I've heard some people say that it is to rich for them and some say it is good. What is you're experience?

I sometimes feed yogurt to my hens as a treat (they go crazy over it), and i have heard of people feeding it to sick chicks because it is easy to eat. But for sick chicks try mixing their regular chick starter with water.

Ok. What if they are to week to eat and have to be fed by hand? If I try to open they're mouth they just spit the food out. What then?

Not all yogurt is created equal. You need one that's not loaded with sugar or artificial sweetener or colors. Generally plain greek yogurt. My chickens actually hate though

If they are too weak to eat solid food, start with some electrolytes in water or a little sugar water. Sometimes that's enough to perk them up enough to want to eat real food.
