upon reading in the forum of differnt issues, I cannot see anything wrong with her other than she is not running at the food like normal. she is about 7 months old. no eggs from her as of yet. it was about a cold windy 40 degrees last night. she currently sleeps in a dog crate with a polish she gets along with (they are new chickens for my flock). her box is kept inside a uninsulated garage overnight and is brought out into a separate area within the chicken run during the day til it starts getting dark. she was normal yesterday when i put her to bed, this morning she can barely stand, eyes shut most of the time with little movement otherwise. I know that yokos are not cold hardy as it starts, so I put her in warm sunlight that maybe it will warm her up. does anyone have any suggestions?

update: my yoko is gone. Not sure what was the issue still. the polish seems normal. from now on I will stick to birds that are happy in most climates not that like heat and are out in a colorado october.

I'm so sorry you lost her :( It sounds like you did everything you could. I'm not familiar with the breed but I'd be surprised if the cold was the cause - it sounds more likely that she had some internal problem, maybe an infection, to take her so quickly. Best of luck with the rest of your flock xx
