Yolk broke inside of fresh egg

This morning I went out and got our fresh eggs and my husband fried them up. It was literally only and hour old egg. It was from a red sex link and the yolk was broke when he cracked the egg. Curious why this happened? this is the first time it has happened and have had no other egg problems.

Could be a fluke...is he sure it was broken inside.
Some yolks are thinner than others and easily broken.
