I am a first time hatcher...

When hatched yolk sac was on outside, we hadn't assisted it hatched itself. It was about 1.5 inch long and blood colour with 1.5 inch long cord... we left her isolated and after 12 hours sac dried enough to fall off. Now its just a small bubble, maybe small fingernail sized left with a small 10mm bit of dried up cord sticking out bottom of it. It is stuck to the spot where the yolk is absorbed, I don't think its going back in..

She was covered with gunk, and even though dry completely she was not fluffed out just everything was stuck down with sticky stuff, so I bathed her with warm water and mild warm hair dryer to fluff her up.

I made a mix of cooked yolk, crushed starter crumble and sugar water and fed to her via small syringe. She had maybe 2 ml in total. She seemed to enjoy it and swallowed it all.

However she is still acting like she is drunk, using her wings when she walks to try to balance and also stretching her head and body up as high as she can, also, it appears, to try to balance.

What could be wrong with her? Why is she acting like this?

Also, how much food is a good amount when hand feeding her? Of course I'm hoping she will want to feed herself very soon...

AND should I be worried about this bubble thing near her bum?

Thanks everyone!
