Ok so our eggs are a week overdue. They pipped internally 4 days ago when they were 3 days past due. They were all alive a week ago because I did a candling to see if they were still alive since they were getting brown spots on them. You could see them moving around and their beaks sticking through the membrane. Then yesterday the brown spots got huge. So we made a decision when we got home to do one last candling, and help if needed. Figuring that they had all died anyways from the looks of the eggs.

So we come home and look at the eggs. They are way brown now, so we made the decision to see what's up. We get the first egg, and it was dead.

We move to the second egg, same thing no movement,

. We go on to the third egg, and she has internally pipped, and only about half way through her "internal zip" to hatching. So I start breaking the shell away and leave the inner membrane.

So we start to break away the shell from the other eggs, and we find that one of them is actually still alive, but barely. It died shortly after. BUT neither one of the two that died absorbed their yolks? Their yolks were almost as large as they were!

I have never seen this beings that they were already on day 36! The last one is doing fine, but she is really super worn out, and her yolk is absorbed.

ANY GUESSES???

Are these chickens? They should pip at day 20-21 and hatch on day 21. You say that they are at day 36? For one it sounds like your temperature is way too low. If they are running late the temp has been too low. If they are early then the temp is too high. If they are pipping internally and dieing then humidity could be too high and they drown in the egg or bacteria got into the eggs or air quality is not good inside incubator and therefore not good in the egg.
