Yongest hen that you have seen lay the first egg?

I am guessing mine are close (bright red combs and squatting from some) but I think the shock of the cold snap we got and the freezing rain and snow might have given us a setback.

Where abouts in Northern Ohio are you?

Findlay area here.

Hey!! 21 week old girls here without eggs, too. Is it something about Northern Ohio or what?!?

Not doing any better in MA
week 21 and my 8 Australorps are doing bupkes

One of our Red Stars laid at 3 and a half to 4 months. how many weeks would that be....um...13-18 weeks. wow! she's an early bloomer!
BOTH ARE RED STARS:
Cinnamon: 3-4 months(13-18 weeks)
Linda: 4 1/2-5 months(18-22 weeks)

The two red star girls(above) are now laying large eggs rather than pullet eggs. yay! I couldn't believe how big Cinnamon's eggs were over the past week!
We are now waiting on the buffs to start laying! They are 5 months. Combs are bright red but still no eggs. Should be soon!

Go girls!

16 weeks, 3 days...

Mine are almost 20 weeks and still no eggs. My BO I think is getting close. Red comb, squatting alot. Maybe a SLW too. The EE's are molting.

My silkie that was supposed to be a hen is a roo and greeting me on Thanksgiving morning with his first crow. So no eggs from him.

I really was in denial until these last few weeks. Being new to chicken raising it was hard to tell.
