The only place I can get chicks is the Tractor Supply store. They have them for about 2 weeks out of the whole year, and unless you are in the store while UPS delivers them, they are gone! I was lucky enough to get a dozen last year. And I felt like I lived there waiting, and calling them 3x a day. LOL I wish there was a store around here that sold them more consistantly!

Look at the on-line hatcheries. You could always order from one.

Have you tried asking the store to add your special order onto theirs? Most of them will. Then they hold the ckicks for you to pick up at the store.

Special ordering is a good idea, I have done that before with ducklings. The feed store didn't have a problem with ordering and holding my ducklings.

Online hatcheries are the way to go in that situation. I usually go through McMurray.
