Hah! I had no idea why my friend would want a bunch of silkies along with my order of "real egg layers"--but after raising 6 for her I was overjoyed to hear that she didn't want them all after all...I'm hoping my 2 end up being a mating pair! I'm picking the biggest and the smallest to try it out...is there any truth to the idea that the ones with the bigger topknot are roos?

And I like my silkies because they are GREAT pets with great personalities. And fun to cuddle.

And when they run they look hilarious with their little 'fro's bouncing.

Plus they take good close-ups.

And like to eat nail polish.

Are friendly.

Are awesome broodies.

Most don't roost so they sleep in piles on the floor! I'm sure some roost, though.

And they take funny pictures!!! Lol.

I was perusing MPC's site and I just learned that they will send a mix of bearded and non-bearded. Is there anyone else I can go to so I can get all bearded ones or is it a hit and miss with all of them?
