That is a great story. I love it. Your husband sure is lucky to have such a wonderful wife. At any rate, it looks like it is going to work well. My one suggestion is to have at least one "nest" with multiple golf balls. My chickens didn't seem to get it when I had one golf ball in each nest, but when I put a bunch in one nest, it seemed to click for them. Enjoy the eggs!

Mine will not lay in anything but milk crates sitting upright...if I put them on their sides, they lay right outside them. Silly girls.

Very Funny! I fully respect your husbands sense of humor, and his ingenuity! In his mind he's saying to himself " yup, she's expecting Taz Mahal, what can I do to get rid of some of these buckets?" Very Funny ! and,,,,it's expandable!
