you can only choose 3

If I could ony choose 3.. It would be : French Black Copper Marans--Love the dark eggs, I like their size and they have a nice personality..
Barred Rocks: I love the red comb contrasting w/ the black and white feathers.. My BR has been pumping eggs out almost everyday--even thru the winter cold/short days. She has a really sweet personality but stands her ground.. Great girl..
True Ameraucanas: sweet sweet girls, pretty eggs, you can have different feather colors (Wheaten, Blue, Black etc)

Most Cuckoos (but not all) are not up to the French Standard, are of hatchery-stock, and lay very pale eggs. Of course, there's some good ones out there too, but I'm just not a fan of them.

Thanks! I'd like to try some Black Copper Marans.

Barred Rocks- Beuatiful and fun, spazzy little creatures! Super friendly and lay well, great for dual-purpose. I absolutely love their feathering.

Ameraucanas- They come in so many different beautiful colors, and lay very nice blue eggs. Semi-friendly and not aggressive. Just a beautiful mix to have. My whole flock could easily be 100% Ameraucana. Their eggs can sell for $8 a dozen.

Delawares- super friendly, beautiful birds! Also very spazzy and happy, will jump on your lap and beg to be held. You gotta love em'! Plus, I have met so many people who I share the Delaware love with.

to be honest, 1st decide if you can process a chicken, it's not as easy as people make it seem. and then pick a breed you don't actually like, it's easier to kill something you don't love. jmo learned the hard way this week.

Really? I guess it varies. I prefer to process a bird I did at least enjoy. I'd rather process a beautiful, tame Araucana than an ugly, unhealthy, piggishly messy Cornish X.
