I believe you. I believe when we truly care for our pets, we become "in-tune" with each other and can "read" each other. I think it is awesome that you had that experience. I have silkies and they don't want me to take their eggs because everytime a hen lays an egg, she wants to hatch it.
About Silkies, I have some and they also can't pass up an egg, just have to sit on it! They even want to "hatch" absolutely nothing, just to sit there, silly chickens! Genie
