My very first egg to hatch in a bator here pipped and zipped in 15 minutes, start to finish! Never had one that fast since then-she spoiled me! She also laid her first egg earlier than any other hen I have, at 18 weeks old. That's my Kate! Always has to be first.

I just don't understand how fast it was, I thought it takes hours, even days! And the fact that it's not in the bator....(hatcher, whatever)

My first hatch, I had 5 eggs pipped before I even knew that there were any. Those ended up being the last ones to hatch. I had one that pipped zipped and was out in about 1/2 an hour...that has been my fastest one so far, that I know of.

Well, I didn't watch the video, but in the pics she doesn't have it in her hand until it is already zipping. That is a rather quick process. If the video starts at the same time that would be why. I just LOVE those pics.
