You Know It's Hot When..........

I saw this this afternoon, temps around 110+. As soon as they were out I put fresh cool water in the pool and they came right back in. Turkeys not so dumb after all.

How cute is that?? SMART turkeys! I am thinking of getting my birds a small wading pool. They may or may not use it, but maybe the lure of water to soak in in this heat will be too much to resist.

im going to try that with my chickens. i have a small pool just sitting in the garage

The chickens have been standing in a shallow bowl of water. They drink out of the pool but haven't gone wading yet. The turkey's on the other hand
