You know it's time to clean house when.......

Awwww! Hanta-babies! They are so cute when they are pooping out respiratory destroying viruses. I actually think white footed deer mice are the cutest little things ever (well just after ducklings). Except for the fact that they are the ones that carry Hantavirus. 5-10% mortality rate. You get that and you are rolling, at best, a 20 sided die and hoping your number doesn't come up.

Between this thread and watching hoarders I have decided next weekend will be a cleanathon at my house. Oh and there is a car at work that the woman who drives it barely has a place to see out. There are even old plastic take out dishes from the food court. I bet she has mice in that car.

Human crab nasties. I am not into sterile but there are limits. I am thinking that one should stop before you're eligible for a TV show about hoarders.

I have to say that I do like and watch the show Hoarders. The cute little mousy pictures are really cute as long as they don't live inside with me.

The more I think about this, the more I am realizing that this house wins. I didn't think that I could be grossed out, but this does it for me. I don't care how cute they are. They can't live in the house with me. I am not afraid of them but there is a difference between its time to clean up and scary it will kill the children dirty.

This house won the thread? At least I am relieved that it was my sisters house and not mine! Since the move, she has actually become a clean freak, and her new places does not have any mice or rats and she doesnt have a storage room, thank goodness! She went from rural to urban living, which definitely made a difference. After that encounter, I do not store any boxes in my house, they all go up into the attic completely sealed so not even an ant could find its ways in! Like you, I am not afraid of them, but if I dare see one on my property, I go out in force to catch the little buggah. Not only do I have bait stations surrounding my property, but I also put those glue traps outside daily, and you would be amazed how many I trap. Very rarely does one make it into the house. There have been some really bad mice infestations through out the island in the past when major development was occurring, where ppl were filling up 5 gallon buckets of them daily. Guess that is the price to living in paradise huh?
