My grandmother is like that... Here is an example of ONE conversation out of MANY that we have had:

"Boy your chicken is soooo scruffy!"
"Yes, Gram, it is molting right now"
"Well why doesn't it have feathers?"
"Because it is molting, Gram. Chickens loose their feathers about once a year."
"Well, can't you make it grow them back faster? It is messing up the look of the yard!"

Oh well, that is just people for you...
