I was looking for a bulb syringe in the baby section of the store. (To put drops in my dog's ears, not to suction snot out of a baby's nostril.) A woman there started chatting with me and asked if I had a granddaughter or a grandson.

To think that someone automatically assumed I had grandchildren made me feel old.

My maternal grandmother, who grew up in Mexico till she was a teenager, was a fair-skinned, auburn-haired Castilian Spanish woman with freckles! She married my grandfather, a short, handsome dark-skinned man. According to my mother, Grandmother always felt she'd married beneath her because of his dark skin. I guess Grandmother was a bit of a snob, lol.

I get that assumption all the time. My response is, "All of my grandkids have four legs."

I know I am old when I find young people are....just like what my parents thought of us when we were young.

I can not eat certain food anymore, find the world is harder to digest and technology is a thorn on the gluteus maximus, I am using scientific word so I hope I am not breaking any BYC's rules here.

Exactly...where are the older, mature, experience people I thought sometimes.

The young person at the bank was telling me this and that...I was thinking she does not know what she is talking about, not enough experience.....she is on the other hand must be thinking....not getting through to this ....oldie :lau
