You know you're a backyard chicken owner when, without thinking, open the front porch gate and let 15 chickens on the porch; throw them some treats, and calmly walk back inside with a chicken right behind you. (I have done this several times )

Found this one evening, they all seem to know about the dog door!
And they look awfull....molting.
That's my kitchen, and I hadn't swept..

Oh my goodness, how sweet! When it gets very cold here, I kind of sneak a few of my girls into the basement to warm up Your chickens seem really sweet!
