You know you're a bad Wife when....

Thank you ma'am.

(I love that smiley)

I'm in the same "I hate cut flowers" boat. So, the first year my DH finally heard that.....

He brought me home some sort of alien-weird-rosetted-Aloe thing. I had NO CLUE how to care for it. It said to add a few drops of water to the center of the rosette to water it. So, I did. The center started to rot, and the roots never got water.... Come to think of it, that plant was a thank you for cleaning.

I may have to try the rose bush suggestion. Or, a bulb. Don't care what type, as long as it doesn't look like something out of "Little Shop Of Horrors".

DH was always buying me roses or flowers, for no reason at all. Don't misunderstand, I loved them and often times there would be a shiny gift hidden inside or something lovely to go with it.

But the flowers would soon wither and die, I dried many of them and made alot of arrangements, I just decided that a living flower that would keep giving flowers each year would be just as lovely and would be a longer lasting sentiment and he completely understood. The rose bush got for me in march was still blooming last week, beautiful big pink fragrant blooms. I make sure to share those with him, and with a kiss.

Makes remembering to the laundry in the middle of the night or any of the other household quiet chores nicer.

What a great idea but I would probably kill them..........not much of a green thumb!

well the other flowers are really dead and you at least have a chance with the live ones even without a green thumb....

I would love it if he bought me a plant insted...

OH yellow roses are my favorite, and if there are no yellow then I'll take the creamy color!

)--he wore his wife's undies to work because he didn't have any clean ones! My dh could not wait to get home to tell me.. To this day, she will not wash clothes until she has 6/7 loads and then she will load them all up and go to the laundry matt and get them all done in a few hrs--while she reads her newest book. She has a almost new washer and dryer..it's 25yrs old..Dixie

Uh.... wow... I think I'm speechless. I mean, I've got more in common with Peg Bundy than Martha Stewart and yet my W/D run every few days! (then again, I'm married to a redneck carpenter/construction worker. He gets his work clothes filthy!)

ETA: Come to think of it, laundry is one of my more favorite chores... while they're washing/drying you have time for BonBons and the 'soaps, if so inclined.
