Chick 1 has a lot of white in the barring, so quite possibly a male. Female Barred Rocks have less white in the barring.

YW. As I understand it from other BYC posts, the males get 2 copies of the barring gene, so they exhibit more white (wider white bars). The females only get one copy, so less white in the barring (thinner white bars).

While chick #2 does have pinkish legs.

looks like barred rock not to sure on 2 and a gold laced Wayandette, the TCS or any of them don't pay much attention or toss em in with others without paying attention if they are there by themselves as they don't have much chicken sense at the stores. on the other hand the gold laced Wayandetts are more expensive chicks there so you came out ahead lol
