I'm afraid of what would happen if I cut my hair. I have very long, VERY thick blonde hair. It's naturally curly, but so long that it doesn't quite hold a curl very well, unless it's slightly humid. When it is really humid it looks like a lion's mane. Were I to cut it, especially in a humid place, I'm sure it would end up looking like an afro. I would NOT look good in an afro. Some people pull it off very nicely. Me? No. Bad idea.My younger self wanted so badly to look like those 70s Country/Western stars with their lavish curly manes.(The idea of hair pieces never even occurred to me--such an innocent!) I got the perm... several times.
The FL humidity defeated me every time. That and the realities of gravity. I ended up cutting my hair b/c it gave me an awful headache to wear it up as required by my job (hospital nursing). I tried the perm again and hooray!!! It worked very well. On HALF of my head.
Where was humidity when I needed it to save me from that horrible perm? Oh everywhere as always--doing NOTHING for my hair. View attachment 2226793View attachment 2226794
